Everyone has heard of the isometric shape of L-asparagine. It is one of the best sellers on the supplement markets. It metabolizes in a specific way, linked to a group of receptors in the frontal cortex of the brain, and turns into N-Methyl-D-Aspartate (NADA).
We use all these complex names just to say it raises the levels of the luteinizing hormone, the gonadotropin and the folic stimulating hormone.

How Exactly Does D-Aspartate Work?
We know that the Sodium-D aspartate increases the levels of two secondary signal proteins: cAMP and cGMP
- cAMP is secreted in the testicles, in the Leydig cells, and stimulates natural testosterone production with up to 30%.
- cGMP is secreted in the pituitary gland and leads to increase in luteinizing hormone production, along with prolactin and growth hormone
- In the hypothalamus, D-aspartate improves the release of the gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), causes release of oxytocin and vasopressin synthesis of matrix RNK
The way D-Aspartate works in the different cells it gets into is – Leading to synthesis/activation of critical proteins that have signal and enzyme functions. Proteins such as- StAR, cAMP, cGMP
A problem with the increased testosterone is the aromatase enzyme. It quickly turns the excessive testosterone into estrogen. This means that taking D-Aspartate alone without aromatase blockers would be useless.

Side Effects Of D-Aspartic Acid
DAA and its chemical analogues are ecotoxic, much like the monosodium glutamate (MSG) and aspartame, because they use a common influencing mechanism- Overstimulating the NMDA receptors.
After reaching the point of overstimulation, cell death of the affected nerve cells is observed.
Note : People who have genetic indispositions to neuro-degenerative diseases should avoid the intake of ecotoxins.

The only scientifically proven dose for people is 10 ml of 2.0 M Sodium-D-Aspartate (3.12gr/10ml), taken with vitamins b6, b12 and follic acid for a period of 12 days.
Which other supplements contain D-Aspartic acid?
DAA is a trend among hormone boosting supplements, that act as libido and fertility stimulators.
It is usually combined with aromatase inhibitors, vitamins from the B group, along with other testosterone stimulators.
There are combined products on the supplement markets, namely- Hormonal stimulators that are combined with precursor of nitrogen oxide and energetics like creatine.
Unfortunately, none of the supplement boxes mention the dangerous side effects.
